WORLDSPACE(R) Satellite Radio Launches in Four More Indian Markets

General Availability in Goa, Jaipur, Nagpur and Trivandrum Represents Increase in Target Market Penetration

SILVER SPRING, Md., May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WORLDSPACE(R) Satellite Radio, (Nasdaq: WRSP), one of the world leaders in satellite-based digital radio services, today announced the launch of subscription service in four new Indian markets: Goa, Jaipur, Nagpur, and Trivandrum. Collectively representing a population of over 6.2 million, including approximately 2.6 million consumers who fall into WORLDSPACE's targeted listener base, the new market launches expand the company's target market penetration to nearly 38 million consumers nationwide.

To ensure ready access for subscribers in the new service areas, WORLDSPACE satellite radios are already available in nearly 100 retail outlets across the markets, with more expected in the near term. Major retail outlets include AK Gandhi, Altaf H. Vali, Anike Sales, Digital Life, I Switch, Jaipur Computer & Electronics, J.B. Communications, K.D. Electronics, Radip Mundial, Vedoms and Sunny Electronics.
