satellite-based digital radio services, today announced that spinning live from WorldSpace booth #8260 will be DJ Rekha, British-born disc jockey recognized as the queen of bhangra beats in the U.S., during the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Jan. 6-8.
Located in the Central Hall, DJ Rekha will spin bhangra beats and hip-hop infused global dance rhythms from WorldSpace's performance stage. DJ Rekha, who introduced basement bhangra to the New York Club scene, has been named one of the most influential South Asians in the U.S. by Newsweek magazine.
